These Eco- Friendly Bora baskets were handmade by the Warao natives of Delta del Orinoco, Venezuela. As shown in their basketry there is a superior elegance and beauty to these pieces of art using skills that have been passed down from generation to generation.

The Waraos, possess the richest source of indigenous craftsmanship known in Venezuela, from the moriche "Mauritia flexuosa linn" or "tree of life", as they call it, they create endless objects with their versatile hands, another highly used by the indigenous Waraos, is the bora plant, which they use for the elaboration of baskets and utensils of daily use like sandals, hats, bags, jugs among others. These plants abound in the waters of the great Orinoco and its tributaries. The tirite is also used by the waraos, especially for utilitarian objects, such as sebucán, wapa, baskets, manare, berei, yami. In relation to pieces to beautify the woman, they make collars and tendrils of canutillo, moriche and seeds.
